The Paravet will support farmers, dairy producers, and livestock owners by providing basic veterinary assistance, promoting feed and nutrition products, and guiding them on best practices in agriculture and dairy management. The role involves field visits, awareness programs, product demonstrations, and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
A. Livestock & Dairy Support
Provide basic veterinary support (first aid, minor treatments, deworming, vaccination assistance - as per guidelines).
Educate farmers about animal health, nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Conduct cattle health camps, awareness drives, and field meetings.
B. Feed & Nutrition Products
Promote company feed products, mineral mixtures, supplements, and fodder solutions.
Assist farmers in identifying nutritional needs of cattle and recommending suitable feed programs.
Conduct demonstrations and trials at farmer locations.
C. Agriculture Support
Guide farmers on basic crop management, fodder production, and improved agriculture practices.
Support in developing fodder plots and demonstrating new techniques.
Provide timely information on seasonal crops, pest management (basic level), and fertilizer usage.
D. Field Sales & Customer Relationship
Identify potential farmers, dairy farmers, and rural entrepreneur groups.
Increase product awareness and achieve assigned targets.
Maintain strong relationships with farmers, dairy centers, and local stakeholders.
E. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain daily visit reports, animal treatment records, and product sales updates.
Provide feedback from field to management for product improvement.
Support in organizing training sessions, camps, and outreach programs.
Required Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of dairy cattle health and basic veterinary practices.
Understanding of feed, fodder, and nutrition management.
Basic agriculture knowledge.
Good communication and farmer-handling skills.
Field-ready, proactive, and able to work independently.
Ability to conduct demonstrations and awareness campaigns.
Qualification Requirements
Minimum:
10th / 12th pass with Paravet certificate or similar training.
Preferred:
Diploma in Veterinary Science / Animal Husbandry / Agriculture.
Experience in dairy, feed, or livestock field work is an added advantage.
