Job Summary
The Academic Counselor will play a pivotal role in student admissions and institutional growth by promoting paramedical programs, generating enquiries, counseling prospective students and parents, and converting leads into confirmed admissions. The role combines academic guidance, marketing outreach, and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Admissions & Counseling
Counsel students and parents on paramedical courses, eligibility, career prospects, and placement opportunities
Handle walk-in, telephonic, online, and referral enquiries
Maintain regular follow-up with prospective candidates to ensure conversion
Assist students with admission procedures, documentation, and fee processes
Ensure achievement of monthly and annual admission targets
2. Marketing & Outreach
Promote institute programs through school visits, seminars, career guidance sessions, and education fairs
Coordinate with digital marketing teams for social media, online campaigns, and lead generation
Build relationships with schools, junior colleges, NGOs, and community organizations
Support branding initiatives aligned with RAAPTI and Don Bosco values
3. Lead Management & Data Handling
Manage and update CRM / enquiry registers / databases
Track leads from multiple channels and analyze conversion ratios
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on enquiries and admissions
Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of student data
4. Institutional Coordination
Coordinate with academic and administrative teams for smooth onboarding of students
Provide feedback to management on market trends, student preferences, and competition
Participate in institute events, orientation programs, and promotional activities
Desired Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline (Education, Psychology, Management preferred)
Certification or experience in counseling, sales, marketing, or admissions is an advantage
Experience
1-3 years of experience in academic counseling, admissions, or education marketing
Experience in paramedical, healthcare, vocational or skill-based institutions preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Convincing and persuasive abilities with ethical counseling approach
Good command over English, Hindi, and Marathi
Target-oriented and result-driven mindset
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and basic digital platforms
Professional demeanor aligned with educational and institutional ethics

Number of enquiries generated
Conversion rate from enquiry to admission

Between 15,000/- to 50,000/ depending upon experience and commitment.
