Job Description

The Paramedical Staff is responsible for providing basic healthcare services, first aid, health monitoring, and supporting the medical needs of children residing in the Child Care Institution. They ensure timely treatment, maintain health records, coordinate with doctors/hospitals, and promote overall health and hygiene in the institution.

1. Health Assessment & Daily Care



Conduct daily health check-ups of children (temperature, general symptoms, hygiene check). Provide first aid for minor injuries or illnesses. Monitor the health status of sick children and update the Superintendent/Case Worker.

2. Medical Support & Treatment



Administer prescribed medicines as per doctor's instructions. Assist in medical emergencies and arrange immediate hospital referrals. Maintain stock of medicines, first-aid supplies, and basic medical equipment.

3. Record Keeping & Documentation



Maintain individual health records for every child. Update medicine registers, health registers, vaccination records, and treatment logs. Prepare monthly health reports for submission to CCI management/DCPU.

4. Coordination & Liaison



Coordinate with government hospitals, doctors, ANMs, and health departments. Facilitate routine medical check-ups, immunization camps, and health awareness sessions. Support in arranging specialist consultations when required.

5. Health & Hygiene Promotion



Promote cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation practices among children and staff. Conduct awareness sessions on handwashing, menstruation hygiene, nutrition, etc. Ensure proper cleanliness of infirmary/medical room.

6. Child Protection & Safety



Identify symptoms of physical or emotional distress and report immediately. Maintain confidentiality and follow child safeguarding guidelines. Ensure all medical procedures follow safety and ethical standards.

Qualifications Required



Diploma in Paramedical Science / Nursing / ANM / GNM or related field. Experience in health services, preferably in childcare, institutions, or community settings. Knowledge of first aid, basic nursing care, and child health.

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
