About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented

2D Panelling Intern

to join our manga and anime production team. In this role, you will assist in creating engaging and dynamic panel layouts for manga pages and anime storyboard sequences, ensuring the flow, pacing, and visual storytelling align with the creative vision.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in

storyboarding

and

panel composition

for manga and anime projects. Translate scripts and dialogues into visually compelling sequences. Support senior artists in arranging

camera angles, perspectives, and pacing

for dramatic effect. Work on

line art, background layouts

, and

panel framing

for manga pages. Collaborate with writers, illustrators, and animators to maintain consistency in storytelling and visual style. Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for scene transitions, panel flow, and impact shots. Prepare panel drafts for review and make revisions based on feedback.

Requirements

Basic understanding of

manga paneling techniques

, anime storyboard composition, and visual flow. Familiarity with Japanese manga/anime styles and storytelling tropes. Proficiency in tools such as

Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop, Krita

, or equivalent. Strong drawing and composition skills. Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. Ability to work within deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
