Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate entry-level Palliative Medicine professional to support our multidisciplinary team in delivering dignified, patient-centered care to individuals with serious or terminal illnesses. This role emphasizes symptom management, pain relief, and emotional support, ensuring holistic care aligned with patient goals. The ideal candidate will contribute to improved quality of life through collaborative, ethical practice and continuous learning in a supportive clinical environment.
Responsibilities:

• Perform initial patient assessments to determine care needs and treatment goals.

• Develop and implement individualized palliative care plans focused on comfort and symptom control.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems.

• Manage medications, including opioids, with strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers across specialties to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.

• Support patients and families in decision-making, including advance care planning and end-of-life discussions.

• Analyze clinical data to inform and adjust care strategies as needed.

• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.

• Foundational understanding of palliative care principles, symptom management, and chronic/terminal illness.

• Proficiency in clinical assessment and diagnostic interpretation.

• Training or experience in critical care, anaesthesia, or IVF (preferred but not mandatory).

• Demonstrated skill in safe and ethical medication and opioid management.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with emotional intelligence.

• Competency in EMR systems and digital health documentation.

• Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced clinical settings.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.

• Valid medical license or registration with the appropriate council (required at onboarding).
