Job Description

The Pellet Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the pellet mill, maintaining optimal performance, and producing high-quality pellets. The role involves monitoring machinery, inspecting equipment, performing maintenance, and ensuring maximum productivity with minimal breakdowns.

Pellet Mill Operation

Ensure pellet mill output meets the standard production rate per hour.

Check the gap between die and roller, and report any wear or damage to the shift in charge.

Ensure proper steam quantity is added to achieve high-quality pellets with maximum output per hour.

Monitor the operation of the PRV junction and report any issues.

Report to the shift in charge if the production rate is below target.

Inspect hammer mill beaters regularly.

Check the physical quality of finished goods and ensure consistency.

Monitor batch mixing processes to maintain uniformity.

Check the particle size of gradable materials.

Record molasses consumption readings accurately.

Adjust crumble rollers as per required particle size, in collaboration with the QC department.

Other Activities

Clean magnets and measure quantities during every shift.

Inspect dies for abnormal cracks or loose bolts.

Perform weekly maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal operation.

Achieve a machine utilization rate of at least 85%.

Ensure maximum utilization of HM beaters and sieves.

Minimize breakdowns by identifying and addressing potential issues.

Increase productivity by ensuring smooth, uninterrupted operation of the pellet mill.

3. Qualification & Experience

Educational Qualifications:

(Additional Certification Required if any)

H.S.C/ITI or equivalent certification.

Relevant Experience:

5 years of experience in feed mill operations or a similar role.

Age

Minimum age: 25 years
