Job Summary:
The Paint shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all operations within the paint shop, ensuring that painting and finishing processes meet quality standards and production timelines. This role involves managing a team of painters, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining inventory and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the paintshop team.
Ensure proper surface preparation, paint application, and finishing techniques.
Monitor workflow and adjust schedules to meet production targets.
Maintain quality control by inspecting paint jobs and ensuring adherence to standards.
Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations within the paintshop.
Train and mentor staff on painting procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
Manage inventory of paint supplies and equipment; place orders as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
Resolve team or process-related issues promptly and effectively.
Document and report work progress, issues, and improvements to upper management.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
1-3 years of experience in a paintshop.
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, Blasting, and metalizing.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
