Job Summary

The PU Painting Engineer/Supervisor is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising all PU painting and finishing activities for interior and furniture projects. The role ensures high-quality surface finishes, shade consistency, cost control, and timely delivery as per design specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and execute

PU, NC, Melamine, Polyester & Matt/Gloss finishes

Interpret

drawings, finish samples, and shade cards

accurately Plan

painting schedules

in coordination with production & site teams Ensure

surface preparation

(sanding, sealing, priming) meets standards Maintain

finish quality, smoothness, color consistency & durability

Monitor

material consumption

and control wastage Coordinate with

vendors, painters, polishers & helpers

Handle

trial samples and mock-ups

for client/design approval Ensure

health, safety & environmental norms

in painting areas Troubleshoot finish defects like

orange peel, pinholes, shade mismatch

Maintain daily

work progress & quality reports

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Strong knowledge of

PU painting systems & spray techniques

Hands-on experience with

spray guns, compressors, sanding machines

Understanding of

wood, MDF, veneer & metal surface finishing

Knowledge of

thinners, hardeners, catalysts & drying cycles

Ability to match

custom shades & finishes

Basic understanding of

production costing & time planning

Qualifications

Diploma / ITI / Engineering in

Paint Technology /Chemical / Mechanical / Production

(preferred) Practical experience in

interior furniture finishing

is mandatory
