Job Description

A painter is responsible for applying paint, stains, and other finishes to surfaces. They prepare surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and priming them before applying the paint or finish. Painters may work on various projects such as residential homes, commercial machinery. They must have knowledge of different types of paint and finishes and be able to mix and match colors accurately. Painters must also have a good eye for detail and be able to work efficiently and safely. Additionally, painters may be required to repair and patch surfaces before painting and use various tools and equipment such as brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
