Job Objective:

To perform painting tasks on buildings, structures, and surfaces to ensure high-quality finishes, protect surfaces, and maintain the aesthetic appeal of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks or holes, and removing old paint. Apply primer, paint, varnish, enamel, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns. Follow color schemes and specifications provided by architects, designers, or the project manager. Protect surrounding areas from paint splatters using drop cloths, masking tape, and other protective materials. Mix and match paint colors and ensure correct consistency and finish. Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and ensure proper cleanup after jobs. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client expectations. Identify and repair surface flaws or recommend surface treatments where necessary. Work safely at heights, on ladders, and on scaffolding as required. Collaborate with other site workers and contractors to ensure project timelines are met.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a professional painter (residential, commercial, or industrial). Basic understanding of painting materials, tools, and application techniques. Ability to read drawings or color schedules. Physically fit and able to work in different environments (indoors/outdoors). Knowledge of safety protocols and hazard prevention. Attention to detail and quality finish. Familiarity with various types of paints and finishes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in painting or finishing trades (ITI or similar) is an advantage. Experience working with real estate developers or on construction sites. Ability to manage helper-level staff or train junior painters.

Work Conditions:

May involve extended working hours based on site deadlines. Must be comfortable working in dust, heat, and elevated areas. Uniform and safety gear must be worn as per company policy.
