Production & Operations

Plan, manage, and supervise end-to-end powder coating operations (pretreatment, drying, coating, curing, inspection). Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly

production targets

. Monitor and improve

OEE, line efficiency, and throughput

. Balance manpower, machines, and materials for smooth flow. Minimize downtime, rework, and scrap.

Quality Management

Ensure coating quality meets

customer specifications and standards

(DFT, adhesion, appearance, curing). Control defects such as pinholes, orange peel, uneven coating, and contamination. Implement

process controls, SOPs, and quality checks

. Coordinate with QA for audits, trials, and customer complaints. Drive

First Pass Yield (FPY)

improvement.

Maintenance & Equipment Reliability

Coordinate with maintenance for

Preventive Maintenance (PM)

of Pretreatment plant, Booths & guns, Ovens & conveyors. Reduce breakdowns and improve

machine availability

. Support TPM / Autonomous Maintenance initiatives.

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

Ensure compliance with

safety, EHS, and fire norms

. Enforce PPE usage and safe operating practices. Manage powder handling, waste disposal, and housekeeping (5S). Conduct safety training and toolbox talks.

Team Leadership & Manpower Management

Lead, train, and motivate operators, supervisors, and technicians. Prepare shift rosters and manage attendance. Identify skill gaps and conduct training on Process control, Quality standards, Safety practices Drive discipline and performance culture.

Process Improvement & Cost Control

Implement

Lean / Kaizen / 5S / TPM

initiatives. Reduce powder consumption, rework, and energy usage. Analyze data and lead

root cause analysis (RCA)

for chronic issues. Support new product development, trials, and process optimization.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare daily and monthly reports on Production, OEE, Quality, Downtime, Material consumption Maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process parameters. Coordinate with planning, stores, maintenance, and quality teams.

Qualifications

Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Production, or related field. Certification in

Lean / TPM / Six Sigma

is an advantage.

Experience

5-10 years

of experience in powder coating operations. Strong hands-on experience with Pretreatment processes, Powder coating equipment and ovens, Quality inspection methods. Experience managing teams and shifts.
