Job Summary:
We are looking for a Paint & PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) Supervisor to oversee the final inspection and quality checks of bus paint jobs. The candidate will ensure paint finishes meet company standards, supervise PDI processes, and coordinate corrective actions for any paint-related defects before dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct final inspections of paint quality on completed buses.
Supervise touch-up, polishing, and defect rectification activities.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, paint thickness, gloss, and finish.
Maintain records of defects, rework, and corrective measures.
Train and guide the paint shop/PDI team on inspection procedures.
Implement 5S and Lean practices in the PDI area.
Collaborate with production, paint shop, and quality teams to resolve recurring issues.
Ensure safety and compliance in PDI operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Paint Technology.
1-2 years of experience in automotive/bus/industrial paint PDI.
Knowledge of paint processes, coating, and surface preparation.
Strong observation, quality control, and documentation skills.
Familiarity with 5S, ISO, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
Team-handling and problem-solving ability.
