To supervise and monitor the packing operations as per GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and company standards, ensuring timely, efficient, and compliant packaging of pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities:
Packing Operations Supervision
Daily supervision of packing lines for tablets, capsules, syrups, injections, etc.
Ensure packing is done as per BPR (Batch Packing Record) and SOPs.
Coordinate with production and QA departments for batch clearance and line clearance.
Manpower Management
Allocate and monitor work for packing operators and contract workers.
Ensure discipline, hygiene, and safety practices are followed by the team.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain all packing-related documents (BPR, logbooks, label reconciliation, etc.) accurately.
Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, and company audit requirements.
Support QA in internal/external audits.
Material & Equipment Handling
Ensure availability of packaging materials (labels, cartons, leaflets, etc.) before starting operations.
Check proper line clearance before changeover.
Monitor the performance of packing machines (blister, strip, bottle filling, labeling, etc.).
Quality & Productivity
Minimize wastage and rejection of materials.
Ensure product identity and traceability at all stages.
Achieve daily and monthly packing targets.
Training & Development
Train new packing staff on SOPs, hygiene, and GMP.
Conduct refresher trainings regularly.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
B.Pharma / D.Pharma / B.Sc (Chemistry or related field)
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in pharma packing (solid dosage / liquid / injectable).
Good leadership and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Problem-solving and team coordination ability
Familiarity with packing machinery operations
