The Packing Line Supervisor is responsible for supervising day-to-day packing line operations, ensuring timely packing of finished goods, maintaining quality standards, managing manpower, and achieving production targets safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate activities on the
packing line
Ensure
proper packing
, labeling, and sealing of finished products
Allocate manpower and manage
line balancing
Monitor
daily packing targets
and productivity
Ensure adherence to
quality standards
and packing specifications
Identify and resolve
line issues
, delays, or manpower gaps
Maintain
packing records
, reports, and shift-wise data
Ensure
discipline, safety, and cleanliness
on the shop floor
Coordinate with
Production, Quality, and Stores
departments
Train new workers on packing procedures and SOPs
Reduce
packing rejections, damages, and rework
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum
1-2 years experience
as Packing Line Supervisor / Line Leader
Experience in
manufacturing or production environment
Basic knowledge of
packing materials and methods
Ability to manage
shop-floor manpower
Good communication and coordination skills
Basic
documentation and reporting
knowledge
Ability to work in
shifts
and under pressure
Educational Qualification
Minimum
Diploma
(preferred)
Additional Requirements
Knowledge of
5S / safety practices
is an added advantage
Leadership and problem-solving ability
Willingness to work extended hours if required
