Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and ensure packaging is done as per company SOPs, regulatory norms, and quality standards. Monitor and maintain the hygiene, cleanliness, and safety of the packing area. Allocate manpower and shift scheduling to meet production timelines. Coordinate with production, quality control, and dispatch teams for smooth operations. Monitor packaging material stock levels and coordinate replenishment. Train packers on proper handling, machine operation, safety, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Inspect final packed goods for labelling, batch coding, sealing, weight, and product integrity. Record and report daily packing output, wastage, rejections, and downtime. Ensure minimal material loss, efficient usage, and zero packaging errors.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Diploma / ITI / Graduate in any stream (Science or related preferred). Experience: 3-6 years in packing supervision in FMCG (food, beverages, cosmetics, etc.). Good knowledge of packaging materials (pouches, bottles, cartons etc.). Familiarity with FSSAI guidelines is a strong advantage. Leadership and team management skills with a hands-on attitude. Basic computer skills (Excel, report generation, ERP software is a plus).

Preferred Attributes:

Experience working in high-speed automated packing lines. Ability to handle shift work and meet tight deadlines. Strong focus on quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
