We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are packed efficiently and accurately for shipment. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Duties
Accurately pack products according to specifications and ensure proper labeling for shipping.
Manage inventory levels and assist with inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels.
Utilize warehouse management systems to track and document packing activities.
Collaborate with team members to improve packing processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely, adhering to OSHA guidelines.
Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Handle materials with care, performing heavy lifting as required while following safety protocols.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Previous warehouse experience preferred, with a focus on packing or shipping & receiving roles.
Familiarity with inventory management practices and logistics operations is highly desirable.
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 is a plus.
Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with materials handling equipment.
Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift.
Team management skills are beneficial for those interested in leadership roles within the warehouse.
