Packing Supervisor

Department: Ayurveda

Reporting To: Production Manager

Location: LAVANYA HEALTHCARE LTD.

Behra Road ,Derabassi SAS NAGAR Mohali Punjab

Job Purpose

To supervise and control all packing activities of Ayurvedic products, ensuring compliance with GMP standards, quality requirements, productivity targets, and proper documentation as per regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Packing Operations

- Supervise day-to-day packing activities of all Ayurvedic products (tablets, powders, liquids, capsules, etc.).
- Ensure correct packing as per approved packing specifications and SOPs.
- Plan manpower allocation to meet daily packing targets efficiently.
- Coordinate with production, QA, and warehouse for smooth operations.

2. Quality & GMP Compliance

- Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, WHO-GMP, and company SOPs during packing operations.
- Verify correctness of labels, batch numbers, manufacturing dates, expiry dates, and artwork.
- Ensure in-process quality checks and resolve packing-related deviations.
- Maintain packing area cleanliness and hygiene.

3. Documentation

- Ensure accurate completion of Batch Packing Records (BPR), logbooks, and checklists.
- Verify reconciliation of packing materials.
- Coordinate with QA for line clearance and batch release activities.

4. Team Supervision

- Supervise packing operators, helpers, and contract staff.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to packing staff.
- Ensure discipline, safety, and use of PPE in the packing area.

5. Safety & Productivity

- Ensure compliance with EHS and safety guidelines.
- Minimize wastage, breakdown time, and packing errors.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for better efficiency.

Skills & Competencies Required

- Strong knowledge of Ayurvedic product packing processes.
- Good understanding of GMP documentation and compliance.
- Ability to lead and manage shop-floor teams.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.

Qualifications & Experience

- Qualification: B. Pharmacy / D.Pharmacy/M.SC
- Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in a Pharmaceutical or Nutraceutical manufacturing company (Packaging Department preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
