Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct quality checks on packaging materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Monitor and evaluate packaging operations to identify issues and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to packaging QA. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Design, Procurement, R&D) to resolve packaging-related quality issues. Conduct audits (internal and vendor) and ensure proper documentation and traceability. Evaluate packaging test results (burst, compression, drop tests, etc.) and provide analysis. Review packaging artwork, labeling, and regulatory compliance. Work closely with vendors and suppliers for packaging material quality control. Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and other relevant guidelines. Prepare and maintain QA reports, quality metrics, and documentation for audits.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Packaging/Industrial) or related field. 5+ years of experience in QA for packaging, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, pharma, or food sectors. Strong knowledge of packaging materials (paperboard, corrugated boxes, plastic films, etc.) and quality standards. Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools and testing equipment. Proficiency in MS Office, QA documentation, and ERP systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Quality (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO Auditor, etc.) Experience with automated packaging lines and equipment validation Familiarity with global packaging regulations and labeling requirements
