About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Packing Chemist

to oversee the packaging operations in our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role involves ensuring all packing activities comply with

GMP

,

SOP

, and

regulatory standards

, maintaining quality, accuracy, and timely completion of production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and execute

packing operations

as per

Batch Packing Record (BPR)

and

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Ensure

line clearance

, correct labeling, and reconciliation of packing materials before and after each batch. Maintain

GMP, GDP, and safety standards

throughout the packing area. Coordinate with

QA, QC, and maintenance

teams to resolve in-process issues and ensure smooth workflow. Verify machine settings and ensure proper functioning of

blister, strip, bottle, or carton packing lines.

Review and sign all relevant documentation including BPRs, logbooks, and deviation reports. Conduct

in-process quality checks

to ensure product integrity, labeling accuracy, and batch traceability. Ensure timely completion of batches as per the production plan and minimize material wastage. Train and guide packing operators and helpers on SOP adherence and GMP compliance. Maintain housekeeping and ensure compliance with

EHS (Environment, Health & Safety)

guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc. / M.Sc. (Chemistry)

or equivalent qualification.

2-6 years

of experience in

pharmaceutical packing operations.

Strong understanding of

GMP, GDP, and regulatory requirements (WHO, USFDA, MHRA, etc.).

Experience with

primary and secondary packaging

processes for tablets, capsules, or liquids. Good communication, leadership, and documentation skills. Ability to manage line performance and troubleshoot packing-related issues.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with

automated packing lines

(blister, strip, bottle, carton). Experience in handling

labeling systems and serialization equipment.

Knowledge of

EHS practices

and audit readiness.

Salary:

As per industry standards (commensurate with experience and skills).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹32,784.05 per month
