Role Overview



The Packing & Dispatch Supervisor will oversee the end-to-end process of finished goods packing, warehouse management, and dispatch operations. This role ensures quality, compliance, and timely delivery while leading the packing and logistics team to meet customer and organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities



Packing Management

Supervise packing operations to ensure quality standards and efficiency. Optimize packing methods and material usage. Ensure availability of packing materials and tools.

Dispatch & Logistics

Plan and schedule dispatches in line with customer orders. Coordinate with transporters for timely and safe deliveries. Verify and maintain dispatch documentation (invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, etc.).

Inventory & Warehouse Control

Maintain accurate records of finished goods (FG). Conduct routine stock checks and reconciliations. Improve warehouse organization, layout, and storage practices.

Compliance & Safety

Enforce SOPs and safety norms during packing and dispatch. Ensure secure loading/unloading practices. Monitor adherence to statutory and company compliance requirements.

Team Leadership

Lead and guide packing/loading teams. Monitor daily performance and productivity. Provide training and support for skill development.

Coordination

Work closely with Production, PPC (Production Planning & Control), QA, and Sales teams. Align dispatch priorities with customer-specific requirements. Ensure smooth communication across departments.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on dispatch, inventory, and packing efficiency. Track KPIs such as dispatch accuracy, inventory variance, and packing defect rate. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Qualifications & Skills



Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field. 4-7 years of experience in packing, dispatch, or warehouse supervision (manufacturing preferred). Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and compliance standards. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
