Job Description

A Packing Supervisor oversees daily packaging operations, leading a team to efficiently pack products while ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to production goals by managing workflow, training staff, monitoring supplies, maintaining standards (GMP, food safety, etc.), troubleshooting issues, and preparing reports, bridging production and management. Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate packing staff, fostering a safe work environment.

Operations Management:

Coordinate packing activities, ensure efficient workflow, and manage inventory of packing materials.

Quality Control:

Inspect products and packaging, perform tests (leak, print), ensure conformance to specs, and resolve quality issues.

Production & Compliance:

Meet production targets, ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, and safety/hygiene regulations (crucial in food/pharma).

Reporting & Coordination:

Prepare reports, track metrics, and collaborate with other departments (Maintenance, QC, Production).

Troubleshooting:

Address bottlenecks, machine issues, and operational problems promptly.
Typical Duties

Study production orders to understand requirements. Start, adjust, and oversee packaging machinery. Document activities (BPRs, line clearances). Reconcile materials and manage finished goods transfer. Ensure environmental conditions (e.g., temperature, cleanliness) meet standards.
