Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Packaging Supervisor to oversee packaging operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that all packaging processes comply with FDA regulations, CGMP standards, and quality specifications. This role requires strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with manufacturing and warehouse environments to maintain efficient and compliant packaging workflows.

Duties

Supervise daily packaging operations, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Coordinate and oversee packaging line activities, including assembly, labeling, and sealing of products. Monitor compliance with FDA regulations, CGMP guidelines, and company policies throughout the packaging process. Operate and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize packaging equipment performance. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on packaging machinery using hand tools and mechanical knowledge. Manage inventory of packaging materials and supplies within the warehouse environment. Train and supervise team members on proper packaging procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation. Ensure documentation accuracy for batch records, quality reports, and compliance records. Utilize forklift trucks for material movement within the warehouse as needed. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to coordinate production schedules and resolve any packaging issues promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in packaging supervision within a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating hand tools and troubleshooting machinery. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for equipment control. Knowledge of FDA regulations, CGMP standards, and quality assurance practices in a manufacturing environment. Experience with assembly processes related to packaging lines. Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to train and supervise team members effectively. Prior experience working in a regulated environment such as pharmaceutical or food manufacturing is highly desirable.
