Job Description

The Packaging Material Procurement Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of packaging materials required for production. The role ensures cost-effective, timely, and high-quality procurement aligned with production and business needs while maintaining supplier relationships and compliance with quality and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and source packaging materials (e.g., bottles, cartons, labels, films, foils) as per production requirements. Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to quality standards. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors to achieve cost savings. Collaborate with production, quality assurance, R&D, and warehouse teams to forecast material needs. Monitor market trends and alternative suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and availability. Maintain and update procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier performance reports. Ensure packaging materials meet regulatory, environmental, and sustainability standards. Coordinate with the logistics team for timely delivery and inventory management. Participate in supplier audits and evaluations. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Packaging Material Development, or related field. 2-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in packaging materials. Strong knowledge of packaging materials used in [Beauty & Personal Care/ FMCG / Food & Beverage / Pharma / etc.]. Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with sustainable and eco-friendly packaging sourcing. Understanding of supply chain risks and vendor compliance. Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
