Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

Creating packaging for new and existing products, developing specifications, and conducting trials to evaluate materials.

Material Selection and Sourcing:

Identifying and selecting appropriate packaging materials, evaluating suppliers, and negotiating costs.

Collaboration:

Working with product development, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure packaging meets product and market requirements.

Compliance:

Ensuring packaging designs comply with industry regulations and sustainability goals.

Testing and Quality Control:

Conducting tests to ensure packaging meets standards for durability, functionality, and safety.

Process Optimization:

Improving packaging processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Documentation:

Maintaining detailed records of packaging specifications and project progress.

Budget and Timeline Management:

Managing packaging projects and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Skills:

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Esko Studio, Adobe Illustrator Design tools, understanding of packaging materials and manufacturing processes, knowledge of industry regulations.

Project Management:

Ability to manage projects, develop timelines, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Communication:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with suppliers.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify and solve problems related to packaging design, materials, and processes.

Cost Optimization:

Ability to identify cost-effective solutions and manage packaging budgets.

Sustainability:

Understanding of sustainable packaging practices and the ability to incorporate them into packaging design.
