. This role will lead the creation of innovative and functional packaging that enhances product value, supports brand identity, and aligns with environmental and production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Design functional and visually appealing packaging
for a wide range of products, with attention to structural integrity, branding, user experience, and shelf impact.
Develop packaging concepts using sustainable, cost-effective materials (e.g., recycled paper, biodegradable plastics, compostable films) while meeting durability and logistics requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, supply chain) to align packaging design with brand, budget, and production needs.
Create and refine
printing patterns
and artwork layouts, ensuring high fidelity from concept to print production across flexography, offset, gravure, and digital printing processes.
Develop
custom dielines
, material specifications, and production files, ensuring compatibility with manufacturing standards.
Evaluate environmental impact and work closely with sustainability teams to improve packaging recyclability and reduce carbon footprint.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of packaging trends, printing technologies, global compliance standards, and material innovations.
Liaise with vendors and production teams to oversee samples, mock-ups, and print runs for quality assurance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Packaging Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in
product packaging design
, including experience with
material selection, printing pattern design, and sustainable packaging
practices.
Proficient in
CorelDRAW
, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and packaging-specific software (e.g., ArtiosCAD, Esko).
Strong understanding of
printing processes
(offset, flexo, digital, screen, gravure) and how to prepare accurate press-ready files.
Knowledge of different
packaging materials
(paperboard, plastics, corrugate, foil, glass, compostables) and their applications.
Experience with
sustainable packaging design
--including sourcing, regulatory compliance, lifecycle impact, and recycling systems.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
