Position Name: Package Engineer Mechanical (sulphuric acid plant)
Job Objective: The person will be responsible to lead and/or to represent the sulphuric acid plant equipment packages during the project execution phase.
He shall define and manage the technology basis for proposals, subcontracting and project execution in the respective field. This includes the interface handling to the project team, the design and process departments, the client, the engineering sub-contractors and the equipment (system) suppliers.

• Leads 3rd party contractors on engineering execution
• Act as lead engineer in Sulphuric acid plant projects
• Provides input for and supervises 3D design
• Perform sizing calculations for the assigned equipment such as converter, absorption towers, heat exchangers etc.
• Defines technical requirements for the assigned equipment packages like static and rotating equipments and platework packages.
• Schedule and budget for assigned equipment packages
• Leads information flow to other disciplines in implementation projects
• Handover technical specification to procurement
• Handover technical information to logistics
• Participate in supplier selection process, e.g., tech. evaluation, negotiations
• Provide manufacturing clearances.
• Manage document flow to/from supplier and trouble shoot during execution
• Review supplier documentation and plans
• Prove inspection related technical support to QC team, ensure delivered equipment meets the quality requirements.
• Supports logistics to get equipment delivered to site
• End to End responsibility for assigned equipment including lessons learnt
• Be member of safety team, coordinate PCM activities for packages

Requirements and Competencies:

• Experience in equipment engineering for Sulphuric Acid Plants
• Minimum 5 years experience in equipment engineering for Sulphuric acid, Phosphoric acid, Nitric acid, Chemical Fertilizers or other Inorganic chemical plants.
• Minimum 5 years experience in plant engineering.
• Knowledge in relevant international codes and standards, proven command of machinery directive and/or pressure equipment directive
• The ability to take lead role in a project team
• The ability to supervise engineering work
• Willingness of international travel if necessary
• Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing in English
• Bachelor or master's degree in Mechanical engineering
