Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Database Administrator with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database administration. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience with Oracle ASM, RAC, and OEM, VMware vCenter, Windows and Linux server administration, and DevOps tools such as Terraform and Ansible. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security, while contributing to automation and infrastructure improvements through collaborative teamwork and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Administration

• Strong knowledge of database architecture, performance tuning, and high-availability solutions
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database environments across production, test, and development landscapes.
• Manage Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM), configure and monitor Real Application Clusters (RAC), and administer Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for proactive database monitoring and management.
• Perform advanced database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning to ensure optimal system performance.
• Implement, test, and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery solutions (RMAN, SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups, log shipping, replication).
• Apply regular database patching and upgrades while minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database performance, replication, and connectivity issues across SQL Server and Oracle environments.
• Administer virtualization environments with VMware vCenter, including VM provisioning, performance optimization, and capacity monitoring for database servers.
• Perform Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) system administration, including OS patching, file system management, and security hardening for database hosts.
• Automate database provisioning, configuration, and maintenance tasks using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Collaborate closely with application developers, system engineers, and network teams to design and deliver optimal database infrastructure solutions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database architecture, configuration standards, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
• Actively participate in team collaboration, knowledge sharing sessions, and cross-functional project planning to ensure consistent and efficient database operations.
