PURPOSE OF THE JOB-

Overseas Transport Control Tower (OOTCT) Officer - India




Broader roles and responsibilities of OTCT Officer:
  • OTCT Ops management for material receipt, pick up, console preparation and delivery.
  • OTCT India metrics analysis and performance improvement planning
  • Digital and automation initiatives to improve efficiency
  • OTCT cost analysis and savings initiatives
  • OTCT Process optimization and performance management for higher deliverables
  • Sourcing & contracting coordination, alignment and management with the Commodity team
  • LSPs/3PL payments reconciliation
Key Contributions:
  • Be the single point of contact for coordination between Supplying sites, consignee, 3PL partner and transport company for organizing and coordinating the outbound flows redirected from OTCT platform
  • Build strong relationships with Internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operational performance
  • Check and ensure supplier documentation compliance in view of local, International and destination laws and regulations.
  • Ensure operational excellence while coordinating for end to end delivery planning and management of cargo being redirected through OTCT platform through well defined KPIs.
  • Coordinate and plan for supplier pick up intended for export through OTCT console platform, receipt of material at platform, planning console, and coordination till delivery.
  • Ensure proper record management including documentation, MIS and timely reporting for business reviews while participating in review meetings.
  • Provide timely visibility on operations status to all stakeholders.
  • Monitor cost optimization opportunities for OTCT operations and plan the idea for process / cost optimization.
  • Record cost inflows / outflows for OTCT operations.
  • Management of Supplier/Sites purchase order and ensure order to pay process adherence and reconciliation of payments.
  • Operational coordination for all modes of transport (Sea/Rail/Air/Road etc) with complete compliance towards defined process.
  • Ensure 3PL performance management with well defined measurable parameters and conduct periodic performance reviews with 3PL partners.
  • Proactively propose alternatives solutions to meet site needs and take immediate countermeasures in case of deviations for the initial plan for execution.
  • Provide transport costs visibility, track, target and eradicate extra costs, and non-quality costs.
  • Sourcing & contracting coordination, alignment and management with the Commodity team
  • Work directly with OTCT and all stakeholders to support and improve the logistics activities, in alignment with the Global OTCT and Customs Strategy, on:
  • Process: Set up & deploy processes / standards to bring more efficiency
  • People: Animate Logistics Managers, Logistic engineers, SAP key users’ networks and enhance their competencies
  • Methods & Tools: Develop improvement plan on process, tools and efficiency after As-Is Vs Proposed analysis.
  • Contribute to the key OTCT transformation initiatives to support competitiveness & agility (included Digital transformation) within his perimeter.
  • Ensure compliance on process review, audits



MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES


Educational Requirements


Mandatory:
  • Initial Background: Degree from Business or Engineering school graduation with Logistics Supply Chain orientation
  • Languages: English fluent


Desirable:
  • Knowledge of modern principles for efficient Forwarding, Shipping, Transportation management, and distribution control,
  • Analytical and adept in Ms-Excel, PPT, Dashboard and MIS management



Experience


Mandatory:
  • Knowledge of Logistics operations (min 5 years)
  • Logistic flow experience 3-5 years covering:
    • Experience in Inbound, Outbound Logistics (Freight Forwarding, Shipping, Transport) & basic knowledge of Customs process
    • Experience is driving cost efficient model


Desirable:
  • Logistics & Supply Chain experience in strategic thinker & performance improvement driver
  • Experience in Sourcing & Contracting,
  • Able to drive transformation at international level
  • Cross cultural interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence at all levels
