Role Description



This is a full-time, on-site role for an

Overseas Network Coordinator - Agent Networks (Freight Forwarding)

at

Bali And Company Logistics Private Limited

, based in

Connaught Place, New Delhi

.

You will

own and manage our overseas agent network ecosystem

with a strong focus on

global freight forwarder networks like JCTrans, WCA, and other global alliances

. Your job is to ensure that for any trade lane, any routing, and any origin/destination,

we have the right overseas partner, the right rate, and the right level of trust.



You will work closely with our

Air, Ocean, and Customs teams

to ensure

smooth, profitable, and reliable execution

of international shipments via our overseas partners.

We are

not

looking for a generic operations executive.
We are looking for someone who lives in:

WhatsApp groups, WeChat, Skype, email threads with agents

Network portals (rate inquiries, RFQs, broadcast enquiries, matchmaking)

Time zone juggling, follow-ups, negotiations, and relationship-building


You should be the kind of person who knows that

the right overseas partner can make or break a shipment, a margin, or sometimes a client relationship.



Your Core Responsibilities



You will

own overseas agent coordination end-to-end

. Specifically, you will:

1. Agent & Network Relationship Management



Manage day-to-day communication with

overseas agents

across multiple time zones. Maintain and deepen relationships with partners via:

JCTrans, WCA, and other freight forwarding networks

Direct one-on-one relationships outside of formal networks Ensure we stay

visible, responsive, and reliable

within these communities: Respond to inbound inquiries from network members Participate (as needed) in

network broadcasts, events, and opportunities


2. Rate Enquiries & RFQ Handling



Receive and handle

rate enquiries

from: Internal sales/commercial team Overseas agents forwarding inquiries to India Float structured RFQs to appropriate agents for:

FCL, LCL, Air, Cross-trade, Door-to-door, DDU/DDP, etc.

Collect, compare, and evaluate responses based on:

Pricing, routing, transit time, free days, terms & conditions

Align with our

pricing team / operations leads

to: Finalize the

best-fit partner + routing

for each opportunity.

3. Trade Lane & Agency Development



Help identify

strong partners for key trade lanes

where we want depth: Europe, China, Southeast Asia, Middle East, USA, Far East, Africa, etc. Map out:

Which agents are strong where

(by region, cargo type, service level). Suggest and support:

Agency appointments

, exclusivity discussions (if any), and

preferred partner lists

per trade lane.

4. Shipment Coordination with Agents



Coordinate with agents on:

Pre-shipment planning

(routing, cut-offs, documentation requirements);

Execution updates

(ETD/ETA, delays, rollovers, trans-shipment status);

Post-shipment activities

(PODs, DO issues, deliveries, collections status when needed).

Ensure agents receive:
Clear

shipping instructions, documents, and expectations

from our side.

Proactively manage:

Escalations, delays, misroutings, short-landings, disputes, claim situations

in coordination with internal ops.

5. Commercial & Credit Discipline



Coordinate with accounts and management for:

Agent payments, credit terms, and outstanding reconciliations.

Track:

Credit limits

, payment cycles, and follow-ups to avoid network complaints or credit lags. Work to maintain: A

clean, professional reputation

in overseas networks with zero unnecessary disputes.

6. Network Administration & Compliance



Maintain our

company profiles on JCTrans, WCA, and other networks

: Up-to-date services, trade lanes, and contact points. Monitor:

Network rules, SOPs, and compliance requirements

(e.g., payment protection schemes, dispute resolution rules). Coordinate:

Membership renewals, certifications, and required documentation

with internal stakeholders.

7. Internal Coordination & Reporting



Work closely with:

Sales, Air/Ocean Operations, and Management

to support quotations & execution. Maintain: Internal records of

key agents, rates received, win/loss tracking, and performance notes.

Prepare: Periodic

reports

on: Best-performing agents; Trade lanes where we're strong/weak; Pricing and service trends from overseas partners

This Role Is for You If



You've

spent the last few years living in the world of overseas agents and freight networks

, not just local trucking or domestic logistics. Comfortable juggling

multiple time zones

Always on top of

email/WhatsApp/Skype messages

The kind of person who can

chase without being annoying, and negotiate without being rude

.

JCTrans, WCA, or similar freight forwarding networks

- and know how they actually function (broadcasts, claims, credit protections, etc.). The

operational realities

of moving cargo, and The

commercial realities

of making a shipment profitable. "Who is our best agent for this lane, this cargo, this urgency?"

Must-Haves



3-7 years

of

experience in international freight forwarding

, with a clear focus on

overseas coordination / agency development

. e.g.,

JCTrans, WCA, PANGEA, Globalia, or similar networks.

Handling

daily agent communication

(quotes, follow-ups, execution support). Floating and closing

RFQs

via agents across multiple trade lanes. Supporting both

import and export shipments

via partners.

INCOTERMS

, basic

Air/Ocean freight concepts

, and

documentation flows

.

Clear written English

and professional email etiquette is non-negotiable.

Responsiveness, ownership, and follow-through

.

Preferred Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in

Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, Business

, or related field. Prior experience in: A

freight forwarding company

where you were the

main contact

for overseas agents. Exposure to:

Cross-trade shipments

, nominated cargo, and

network-generated leads

. Basic understanding of

credit risk, claims, and dispute resolution

in freight networks. Comfort with:

Excel, CRM tools, network portals

, and structured reporting.

Not a Fit If



You've

never directly coordinated with overseas freight forwarders/agents

and only handled local operations. You're looking for a

slow, low-stakes, routine-only back office job

. This role is dynamic and communication-heavy. Following up

persistently

with agents and internal teams. Working with

tight timelines and multiple simultaneous conversations.

You want to "try something new" - we're looking for someone who

already understands how overseas networks and agents work

and wants to deepen that, not test it.
