In this role, you will be responsible for identifying prospects, meeting clients face-to-face, and offering strategic advertising placements on buses, bus shelters, and transit-related media. Key Responsibilities:
Prospect and generate new leads through cold calling, networking, and field visits to local businesses.
Meet with potential clients in person to understand their marketing needs and present tailored bus media advertising solutions.
Sell advertising space on buses, bus shelters, and other transit formats (interior/exterior bus wraps, digital transit screens, etc.).
Educate clients on audience reach, impression data, and ROI of transit advertising.
Develop customized proposals and negotiate contracts to close deals.
Maintain strong relationships with clients through regular follow-up and account management.
Collaborate with internal teams (creative, operations, scheduling) to ensure campaign success.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals.
Maintain accurate records in CRM and prepare weekly sales activity reports.
Stay up to date on market trends, competitor offerings, and transit advertising innovations.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in outside sales, media/advertising sales, or related field.
Strong understanding of out-of-home (OOH) advertising, preferably in transit or bus media.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, goal-driven, and comfortable working independently in the field.
Strong local market knowledge and ability to identify sales opportunities.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Familiarity with CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience selling bus, transit, or OOH advertising (billboards, shelters, digital screens).
Existing network of local businesses or advertisers.
Understanding of advertising metrics such as impressions, CPM, reach, and frequency.
