: Operation Theatre Technician

Role Overview:

The Operation Theatre (OT) Technician is responsible for managing the overall functioning of the operation theatre, ensuring smooth surgical procedures, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency. The role includes handling patient movement, preparing surgical instruments, and ensuring the sterilization and arrangement of equipment, with a primary focus on Laser Treatment for Varicose Veins.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Operative Preparation:

Assist in setting up the OT for laser procedures, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and functional.

Arrange the OT table, dressing table, and instrument tray as per procedural requirements.

Ensure availability and proper working condition of laser machines and surgical instruments.

Patient Handling & Safety:

Manage the safe and efficient transport of patients in and out of the OT.

Provide necessary support to the surgical team in positioning the patient for procedures.

Surgical Assistance:

Assist the surgeon and nursing team during laser treatments for varicose veins.

Ensure the timely availability of required surgical instruments.

Sterilization & Equipment Maintenance:

Oversee the sterilization of surgical tools and equipment following standard protocols.

Maintain and inspect laser equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Post-Operative Duties:

Clear and reset the OT for subsequent procedures.

Proper disposal of biomedical waste as per hospital guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or certification in Operation Theatre Technology or a related field.

Prior experience in laser treatments, especially for varicose veins, is preferred.

Strong understanding of sterilization techniques and OT protocols.

Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Excellent coordination and communication skills.

This role is crucial in ensuring seamless OT operations, particularly in laser treatment procedures for varicose veins, while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?22,000.00 per month
