The Operation Theatre (OT) Technician is responsible for managing the overall functioning of the operation theatre, ensuring smooth surgical procedures, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency. The role includes handling patient movement, preparing surgical instruments, and ensuring the sterilization and arrangement of equipment, with a primary focus on Laser Treatment for Varicose Veins.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Operative Duties
Prepare and maintain the OT before and after surgeries.
Ensure availability and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
Check functionality of OT lights, suction machines, anesthesia equipment, and monitors.
Assist in positioning the patient for Procedure under the guidance of the surgeon.
Post-Operative Duties
Assist in shifting the patient safely from OT to recovery.
Dispose of bio-medical waste as per hospital guidelines.
Clean and restock OT after each procedure.
Maintain OT records, equipment checklists, and sterilization logs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma / Degree in OT Technology or related field.
0-3 years of experience as OT Technician (freshers may also apply).
Knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization techniques.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
