Key Responsibilities

1. Preparation of the Operating Room

:

Set up and prepare the operating room with all necessary surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies. Ensure that the operating room is sterile and ready for surgical procedures, verifying that all equipment is in working order.

2. Assistance During Surgical Procedures

:

Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide prompt assistance.

3. Sterilization and Maintenance

:

Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring that all instruments are properly cleaned and ready for use. Follow strict protocols for infection control and prevention.

4. Patient Preparation

:

Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, ensuring their comfort and safety on the operating table. Apply sterile drapes to create a sterile field around the surgical site.

5. Post-Operative Duties

:

Ensure that all surgical equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized after use. Assist in monitoring patients' vital signs and care before, during, and after surgery.
