Job Description

Job Summary:

The OT Technician will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the operation theatre, supporting surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures, and ensuring compliance with sterile techniques and safety protocols. This role plays a vital part in providing smooth surgical operations and patient safety.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Prepare the OT with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies before surgery. Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures. Ensure sterilization of instruments and maintenance of sterile environment. Handle and maintain surgical equipment and instruments. Monitor and arrange surgical consumables and stock. Follow infection control and hospital safety protocols. Support in positioning and shifting patients pre- and post-surgery. Maintain accurate records of procedures and equipment usage.

Qualifications:

Diploma/Certificate in OT Technology or related field. 1-3 years of experience in OT assistance preferred.

Skills:

Knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterilization techniques. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
