Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare the operation theatre before surgery (sterilization, instrument setup). Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by handling instruments and materials. Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are cleaned, sterilized, and properly maintained. Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical instruments and supplies. Handle and dispose of biomedical waste as per hospital protocols. Check functionality of OT equipment (lights, suction machines, cautery, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare the patient and operation theatre before surgery. Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, and other sterile supplies. Monitor patients' vital signs during the procedure (with the anesthetist). Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques at all times. Manage pre-operative and post-operative care of patients. Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and supplies used. Coordinate with OT technicians and other support staff.
