. The candidate will be responsible for assisting surgeons during procedures, ensuring sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments, and maintaining a sterile OT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in setting up the operation theatre before orthopedic procedures.
Prepare and arrange surgical instruments and equipment specific to ortho surgeries (e.g., drills, screws, fixation devices, etc.).
Ensure strict aseptic techniques and maintain sterile conditions in the OT.
Support the surgical team during orthopedic operations by handling instruments, suctioning, suturing assistance, etc.
Sterilize surgical instruments and ensure all ortho-specific equipment is functional and ready.
Maintain patient positioning and ensure safety and comfort during procedures.
Help in post-operative clean-up and preparing OT for the next procedure.
Maintain accurate documentation and inventory of OT supplies.
Comply with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or certification in Operation Theatre Technology from a recognized institute.
Minimum
2 years of hands-on experience in orthopedic operation theatre procedures
.
Sound knowledge of orthopedic surgical instruments and protocols.
Familiarity with C-arm, traction systems, and implant handling is essential.
