Job Description

The candidate should be a trained and minimum 2 years experience in the

Eye Operation Theatre.

Responsibilities and Duties

Preparation of the Operation Theatre:

Ensuring the operating room is clean, organized, and ready for surgery, including setting up equipment and instruments.

Sterilization and Infection Control:

Sterilizing instruments and equipment, maintaining a sterile environment, and following infection control protocols.

Patient Preparation:

Assisting in preparing the patient for surgery, including positioning, draping, and ensuring comfort.

Inventory Management:

Maintaining adequate supplies of medical and diagnostic materials, and checking for expired items.

Equipment Maintenance:

Ensuring proper functioning of equipment and instruments, and reporting any malfunctions.
During Surgery:

Assisting the Surgeon:

Passing instruments, managing equipment, and assisting with other tasks as directed by the surgeon.

Patient Monitoring:

Observing patient vitals and alerting the medical team to any changes.

Handling Emergencies:

Assisting the medical team during emergencies, such as administering medications or providing basic life support.
Post-operative:

Cleaning and Resetting the Theatre:

Cleaning and disinfecting the operating room after each procedure, and preparing it for the next surgery.

Maintaining Records:

Keeping accurate records of surgical procedures, equipment used, and patient data.

Disposing of Waste:

Properly disposing of biohazardous waste.

Patient Care:

Assisting with post-operative care, including monitoring the patient's condition and providing comfort. OT stock maintenance
