An OT (Operation Theatre) Technician assists surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring a safe and sterile environment. They manage surgical equipment, monitor patient conditions, and support the medical team throughout operations. OT Technicians play a crucial role in maintaining surgical efficiency and patient safety in hospitals, clinics, and specialized surgical centers.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare operation theatre and sterilize surgical instruments before surgery. Assist surgeons and nurses during various surgical procedures efficiently. Maintain sterile conditions to prevent infection during surgical operations. Handle, clean, and maintain all surgical instruments and equipment. Monitor patient vitals and ensure comfort during surgical operations. Manage surgical inventory and replenish supplies as per requirement. Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards always. Support post-operative care and assist in patient transfer.

Skill & Experience

Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and operating room procedures. Ability to maintain strict hygiene and sterilization standards always. Excellent teamwork and communication skills under pressure situations. Quick decision-making ability during emergency or critical surgeries. Technical proficiency in handling and maintaining surgical equipment efficiently. Understanding of patient care, safety, and medical ethics thoroughly.
