About Job Role:

An OT Staff Nurse (Operating Theatre) involves providing comprehensive care before, during, and after surgery, focusing on patient safety, maintaining sterility, assisting the surgical team with instruments, monitoring vitals, prepping the OR, managing supplies, and meticulous documentation, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to strict protocols. Key duties include preparing the room, scrubbing in, passing instruments, positioning patients, managing specimens, and coordinating patient transport.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Preparation & Care: Assess patients pre-op, ensure NPO status, prepare them for surgery (positioning, anesthesia checks), and provide post-operative care.

2. Operating Room Management: Prepare and maintain a sterile environment, ensure all equipment, instruments, and supplies are ready and sterile.

3. Surgical Assistance: Anticipate surgeon's needs, pass instruments efficiently (scrub role), and assist the entire surgical team.

4. Monitoring & Safety: Monitor patient vital signs during surgery, respond to changes, and ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols (asepsis, counts).

5. Documentation & Coordination: Maintain accurate records (patient, procedure, specimens), manage surgical schedules, and coordinate with CSSD, wards, and ICU.

6. Equipment & Supply Management: Control stock, manage instrument counts (before/after), and ensure efficient use of resources.

7. Post-Op Duties: Transport patients to recovery, report on patient status, and prepare the OR for the next case.

Experience 3 to 4 yrs required

Salary - 30k to 40k p.m
