Position Summary:

Almas Hospital - Kottakkal is seeking an experienced and highly organized

OT Manager

to oversee the daily operations of our Operation Theatre complex. The ideal candidate will ensure high standards of surgical care, efficient scheduling, staff supervision, and strict adherence to safety and sterilization protocols. This role is critical to maintaining optimal patient outcomes, teamwork, and operational efficiency in the perioperative setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate all activities within the Operation Theatre Supervise OT nurses, technicians, and support staff Ensure optimal OT scheduling and minimal turnaround time Monitor compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols Manage inventory of surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables Maintain records of procedures, equipment maintenance, and staff duties Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing leadership Ensure training, orientation, and performance evaluations of OT staff Implement quality assurance programs and safety checks Handle emergencies, staffing challenges, and conflict resolution

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent; additional training in OT Management preferred Valid RN license (or local equivalent) Minimum 5 years of experience in perioperative nursing with at least 2 years in a leadership role Strong knowledge of OT procedures, instruments, and safety protocols Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills Certification in OT nursing or healthcare management is a plus
