Job Summary

Horizon Prime Hospital, Thane, is looking for an experienced and dedicated

OT Nursing In-Charge

to manage and supervise Operation Theatre services. The role involves overseeing OT nursing staff, ensuring strict adherence to NABH standards, maintaining sterility and patient safety, and coordinating effectively with surgeons, anesthetists, and other hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage day-to-day OT operations and surgical schedules. Ensure OT readiness prior to surgeries, including sterility, instruments, and equipment availability. Allocate duties and prepare duty rosters for OT nursing staff. Ensure strict compliance with NABH standards, infection control practices, and hospital policies. Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, and allied departments for smooth OT functioning. Maintain OT documentation, registers, and surgical safety checklists. Monitor OT equipment, instruments, and consumables; report maintenance and replacement needs. Ensure patient safety protocols, including compliance with the WHO Surgical Safety Checklist. Handle OT audits, incident reporting, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Train, guide, and evaluate OT nursing staff performance.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification:

B.Sc Nursing / GNM (Mandatory)

Registration:

Valid Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC) Registration

Experience:

Minimum

4-6 years

of Operation Theatre experience, with 2

-3 years

in a supervisory or In-Charge role preferred Strong knowledge of OT procedures, NABH standards, and infection control practices

Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and coordination abilities Sound knowledge of OT equipment and surgical procedures Documentation and audit readiness Ability to work under pressure and manage emergencies effectively
