Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Pre-Operative Care

Prepare the operation theatre before surgery. Ensure sterility of instruments, equipment, and OT environment. Check patient identity, consent, and pre-operative preparation. Assist in shifting patients to and from the OT. Prepare surgical instruments, trays, and required materials.

Intra-Operative Care

Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and surgical team during procedures. Maintain strict aseptic techniques throughout surgery. Act as

scrub nurse

or

circulating nurse

as assigned. Handle instruments, sponges, sutures, and equipment efficiently. Monitor patient safety and respond to emergencies.

Post-Operative Care

Assist in transferring patients to recovery room. Ensure proper documentation of surgical procedures. Count instruments, needles, and swabs before and after surgery. Clean, sterilize, and store OT instruments properly.

Equipment & Infection Control

Maintain OT equipment and report malfunctions. Follow hospital infection control policies. Ensure proper biomedical waste disposal. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in OT.

Documentation & Coordination

Maintain accurate OT records and checklists. Coordinate with wards, CSSD, anesthesia, and other departments. Follow hospital protocols and ethical standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma / B.Sc. Nursing (Registered Nurse) OT training or experience preferred Knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical procedures Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
