Overall supervision and coordination of Operation Theatre activities.
Ensure OT readiness, sterility, and adherence to infection control protocols.
Plan and manage OT schedules in coordination with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff.
Supervise OT nursing staff, technicians, and support staff; ensure proper duty rosters.
Maintain OT equipment, instruments, and consumables; coordinate with biomedical and stores.
Ensure compliance with NABH/quality standards and hospital policies.
Monitor pre-operative and post-operative protocols and patient safety measures.
Maintain OT records, checklists, and documentation accurately.
Train and orient new OT staff; conduct regular audits and drills.
Handle OT emergencies and ensure smooth coordination during critical cases.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma in OT
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in OT, with supervisory experience desirable.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques, OT protocols, and equipment handling.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Knowledge of infection control and patient safety standards.
Ability to work under pressure and manage emergencies.
