Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Schedule surgeries in coordination with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing teams.
Ensure readiness of OT rooms (equipment, instruments, sterilization, etc.) before each procedure.
Coordinate with pre-op, post-op, CSSD, housekeeping, and biomedical departments for smooth functioning.
Maintain surgery lists, update patient records, and monitor OT utilization.
Supervise and support OT staff to ensure compliance with protocols and safety standards.
Check availability of surgical instruments, implants, and consumables before procedures.
Monitor infection control practices and ensure adherence to NABH/JCI guidelines.
Facilitate emergency surgeries and prioritize cases as needed.
Report any equipment malfunction or OT-related issues to the concerned departments.
Maintain documentation and records of surgeries, staff rosters, and checklists.
