Job Description

Implement Treatment Plans:

Work with patients one-on-one to carry out the treatment plan developed by the OT, which includes therapeutic activities and exercises.

Monitor Progress:

Observe patients during activities, ensuring they perform techniques correctly and providing encouragement.

Report to the Occupational Therapist:

Communicate with the OT if a patient is not responding to treatment or has specific concerns.

Educate Patients:

Teach patients and their families how to manage their home exercise programs and use necessary equipment.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment for the OT to review.

Clerical Support:

Assist with basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and ordering medical supplies.
Skills & Abilities

Communication:

Effectively communicate with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to explain treatment and document progress.

Patience & Empathy:

Provide support and encouragement to patients as they work through challenging therapeutic activities.

Physical Stamina:

Be able to stand and move for extended periods while assisting patients with exercises and activities.

Attention to Detail:

Maintain accurate records and monitor patient performance with precision.
