Job Description

Prepare the operating room by ensuring that it is clean, sterile, and equipped with the necessary surgical instruments and supplies. Ensure that all surgical instruments are sterilized and ready for use. Set up surgical equipment, monitors, and machines according to procedure requirements. Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure to ensure accurate preparation. Assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthetists by providing tools and instruments during surgeries. Maintain a sterile field by ensuring no contamination of instruments or supplies. Assist in positioning patients on the operating table to ensure proper alignment. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during the procedure, ensuring the efficient flow of operations. Hand surgical instruments to the surgeon or assist the surgical team in the use of specialized equipment. Manage and organize sterile supplies, ensuring that they are readily available when needed. Monitor the status of surgical instruments during the operation to ensure they remain sterile and properly used.
