To ensure the following equipments are ready before surgery in working condition : Anesthesia machine, single or multi-channel monitor, pulse oxy-meter, diathermy machine,C-arm, OT table, portable suction, OT light, laparoscopic machine, harmonic scalpel etc.
Coordinate with the OT team to prepare the operating theater keep it sterile and ready for the procedure
Communicating with surgeons for smooth and successful surgery cases
Assisting with the OT team during surgery cases
Maintaining Operation Theater Inventory stock, medicines in timely manner
Assisting all surgery cases
Maintaining all registers in the OT
To keep the theatre, Dress change room, Doctors room, packing room, CSSD clean and neat
Checking OT Equipments regularly and keep ready for the cases
Coordinate with all Department staff during cases
Properly shifting the patient after surgery using stretchers
Checking Patients Vitals in the post operative room
Completing proper surgery notes
Following hygiene Infection control procedure
Maintain accurate, detailed reports & records.
Prepare patients for and assist with examinations and treatment.
Update theatre register
To Maintain Theatre equipments
To maintain stock register
AMC followup with vendors
Coordinate with ward staff to related patients conditions.
To operate and maintain all the medical equipment in the operation theatre.
To ensure central supply of oxygen and nitrous oxide, central suction available and are in working condition
To ensure the availability of portable suction apparatus.
To position the patient according to the surgery.
To assist anesthetists and surgeon during surgery at the time of intubations, extubation, and to keep drugs for IV infusions and blood transfusions, and also to have knowledge to face any emergency situation.
To ensure the anesthetic machine is ready with the following ET tube, jelly, airways spray, plasters, eye ointment, injections, syringes and intravenous infusion materials.
To assist anesthetist for general anesthesia, spinal, epidural and local anesthesia.
To wash, dry and pack epidural sets.
To operate and maintain the operative lights as per the instruction of the surgeons.
To ensure the privacy and safety of the patient.
To ensure the I.V bottles, I.V line and syringes loaded with medications are labeled properly with date and time.
To follow waste disposal protocol and follow personal safety measures ( TLD Badges & use of lead apron)
