Key Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room before each surgery by sterilizing equipment, laying out surgical instruments, and ensuring all supplies are available and functional.? Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nurses during operations by passing instruments, handling sterile supplies, and providing technical support as needed.? Monitor and maintain surgical equipment, including anesthesia machines, ventilators, and monitors, ensuring they are functional and properly calibrated for each case.? Maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgery to prevent infection, following strict sanitation and infection control protocols.? Manage inventory of surgical instruments and consumables; maintain accurate records of usage and ensure timely sterilization post-procedure.? Support patient care by assisting in positioning the patient before surgery, helping with post-operative transfers, and monitoring basic vital signs when required.? Handle hazardous waste and biomedical disposal in compliance with hospital safety policies.? Document and maintain operation theatre records and reports as per hospital protocols.?
