The Network Operations Specialist focuses upon the provision of network operations advice and administration and provides monitoring, operation and management of efficient and effective networks services fulfilling the Vodafone Strategy. The Network Operations Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in monitoring network nodes, executing event/incident management, configuration, escalation, release and deployment and 3rd party management activities, ensuring a high quality, reliable network service is available to our customers. Typically reports to the Network Operations Manager. #_VOIS
To ensure high availability of all the in scope applications at all time.
Enable our customers through automations and self-service capabilities.
End to End incident resolution accountability for the application faults/alerts.
Manage vendor co-ordination and access to the production environment for collaborated troubleshooting, debugging & resolution of the incidents, unexpected behaviour of application.
Interacting with multiple teams like GDC, GNO, vendors etc. over planned & unplanned changes to support the application growth, maintenance or other cloud platform changes, with clear communication to the concerned parties with detailed business justification.
Work with the network teams (GNO, IP Delivery, IP Design, etc.) over the improvement, faults or other changes to the APIs between OSS applications and their OSS platforms (e.g. SMARTS, Netcool, TACACS, Cyberark etc.
Providing initial user support and training over the connection & use of the in scope applications.
Supporting the planning for the growth, major application upgrade, bug fixing, license management and enablement of new functionality on the platforms.
Simplify the requirement gathering & communication with users & speed up the process of change, incident, problem management, and maintain health of systems for any abnormal behaviour observed which could potentially impact the service.
