Job Summary:

The

OSP Fiber Lead Engineer

is responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy and quality of outside plant fiber optic network designs. This role ensures that all fiber network plans, drawings, and associated documentation meet internal and client standards, engineering practices, and regulatory requirements before submission or deployment.

Need to have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in QC'ing OSP fiber designs for AT&T fiber and ensure all deliverables are submitted along with the project.

Conduct thorough quality checks of OSP fiber network designs including aerial, underground, and buried plant. Review fiber layouts, splice schematics, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and construction drawings. Validate design compliance with industry standards, jurisdictional codes, and client-specific requirements. Review FTTH fielding data, photos, notes, and route alignments for accuracy. OSP Fiber Planning experience for AT&T. Review fiber design packages, including F1/F2 routing, splitter placement, terminal locations, splice points, allocations, and overall FTTH architecture

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of OSP/FTTH engineering and GPON/NGPON2 architecture. Proficiency with Aramis, Waldo, and IQGEO (required). Required experience with AT&T FTTH design standards. Skilled in Google Earth/KMZ editing, GIS tools, and QC review. Ability to interpret plats, easements, utility prints, and FTTH design documentation. * High attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
